    iPod...
Yeah, it's been forever since I've posted.
    Lots has gone on.
But the only reason why I've come on here is to announce the great iPod project of 2007.
Starting on January 1st, I will start listening to every song on my iPod consecutively.
That means I just start off at song 1 and go to song end (about 10,200).
I will be keeping a log of it (either here or somewhere else), with descriptions of the bands/music/etc...

    Current Mood: contemplative
    Current Music: Lots...

    Famousnessicity...
Several months back at a Barmitzvah Brothers show, one of the singers of the band, Jenny Mitchell, asked the audience for volunteers to cut their hair. She used to charge her friends $2 for the honour, but now is doing it for free. She got the brilliant idea that she should cut hair after each gig, and collect stories from the cuttees as payment, and then release a book of said stories.
    I was game.
So we went to the back room (at the Blacksheep Inn), and a few snips of the scissors later, I'd retold the elephant-trying-to-kidnap-me story. I didn't think I did too good a job retelling it. Telling a story on demand is hard-like trying to be funny on demand (except when I'm hungover, for some reason misery makes great comedy).
So this Sunday, on Vinyl Cafe, Stuart McLean talked about Jenny's book project, and said:
"..and one of her favourite stories is about the man who was almost kidnapped by an elephant in India."
Fifteen seconds of nameless fame, but I'll take it!

    Birthday shit...
On the 1st, come on over, around 7 or so.
    Watch some fireworks later on.
    Get drunk.
    Celebrate my birthday.
That's about the gist of it.
Many special guest stars from TO, Montreal and now Kingston.

June 30th, I gotta see Superman. And grab some dinner. Come if you wanna.

    Question...
Beard-should I keep growing it for a few more weeks, or is it time to trim it?

Now before all you hybrid enthusiasts start sharpening your poison pens, let's look at the numbers. (I'm hoping to avoid more of the kind of angry mail I received after reporting recently that Accord hybrid sales plunged 69 percent in April, while the new Cadillac Escalade shot up 127 percent). Sure, the Toyota Prius is still a sellout, and, yes, hybrid sales doubled last year (thanks mostly to that white-hot Prius). But hybrids still account for only 1.2 percent of the U.S. car market, and they're outsold by SUVs 23 to 1.

    Just spent all day cleaning.
    Last night was fun.
We figured out that Fraggle Rock was one of the best kids shows ever.
Sure, the Sens lost, but no need to panic.
    They boys will win.
    Or they won't.
It can really go either way.

In the end I broke down and just decided to give beer-icken a go myself.

Cybernetic Humanoid Responsible for Infiltration and Sabotage

What an awesome weekend. Friday's humour in a box was awesome.
Julie Doiron and Shotgun and Jay made Wakefield a place I wanna move to...
I think we spent an hour driving around trying to find an all-night poutine place in Gatineau.
    No such luck.

This weekend, far away as it seems, will be filled with stuffing a chicken's crevasse with a beer can and cooking it in an oven.

    Life goes on.

Back to responsibility, and work, and realizing that I'm broke till December.

    It's a living...

Though I've watched almost all of Peep Show.
Nothing makes you feel better then realizing that most of the world is as awkward (or awkwarder then you).

    Good good party last night.
    Hugs to Rob.
    Hope you're feeling ok...

    42 days later...
    Leaving Chennai.
Stupid having to have to work.
    Stupid having to have responsibilities.
    Ah well.
It was fun while it lasted.

The Chennai airport is now super swank.
They renovated two years ago, and it really paid off.
    Nice smell.
    Good food.
    Internet.
    Comfy chairs.
Security that lets you take chesty goddess statues on a plane.
(speaking of, I have over 100 pounds of luggage-booyeah! It's really not that impression, the couple beside me at the checking in had over 300. No joke).

    8:30 am
    Literally I've been doing nothing.
Read a bunch of Bukowski and Vonnegut and Nair.
    Hung out on the beach.
    Wandered around Madras.
Figured out how to pack my bags.

I think this afternoon I'm going to write an ode to my aunt's husband Aniyan.
    He deserve an ode.
More so then the rest of us.

Having fun flirting with my cousin's friends.

Off to Pondicherry today, just a day trip.
It's a nice little beach side town.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of foreign hippies.
But it's really nice there, and cheap beer.
    Whatcha going to do.

    I'm uploading all my photos.
    Organizing, naming, the whole lot.
So if you wanna see them, I need your e-mail address (just send an e-mail to my hotmail address, got it working again).

That was a slice, Mr. Singh...
It took 50 hours to get from Darjeeling back to Chennai.
Three hours by car to NJP to catch a train, then 47 hours on the train.
It wasn't so bad. There was only me and an Indian Air Force office in his 40s who was being deployed to Bangalore, Mr. Singh. We got along.
The time actually passed pretty quickly.
    I re-read Don Quixote.
Played around with the camera (1,100 photos and counting), slept, and hung out the side of the train.

Unforunately my cousin's final exam is next week, so no going to Kerala.
Instead we're going to hit up Pondicherry.
But honnestly, if I just stay here, go to the beach, sleep, and try to figure out how I'm going to bring back all this crap, I'll be a happy, happy man...

    Contains nudity...
y got off my ass and started to upload some photos.
The power keeps going out-they have a generator, but they lose the network connection.
    (BEV-PLEASE SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM)

If you’re looking for nudity, you got to wait for the end.
    ;)

Sadly, this is only a fraction of the +1000 photos I've taken...

    So here are some photos.

    Stormed!
    What an afternoon last night.
We started out on the trek, and I was doing ok, but after about an hour, our guide told us that it was going to, as he put it, 'Bad storm,' so we headed back to Darjeeling.
    Thank god that we did.
I have never in my life seen that much lightning come down. The rain was almost monsoonal (is that a word?). I had a shower to wash off the muck, and BOOM, the power goes off. So I'm cold, wet and nekkid, groping around for the candle that I laughed at when I first saw in the bathroom.
I was going to go out and meet them for dinner, but decided not to get soaked again.
Dinner was a romantic affair at the restaurant, me, some Sikkimese beer, and 12 middle aged German tourists.
